For the workshop Office for Phantasmatic Displacements, students had to make campaigns for fictive buildings to expose social and political problems. In this way, the students raised attention for the social and environmental impact of buildings.
One group made a concept for a new Trump tower for fictive American political refugees. They presented it right before the famous KBC-tower in Antwerp and got some media-attention. The regional TV-station ATV, national newspaper Gazet van Antwerpen came to take a look at the plans for the new Trump Tower.
Another group made a concept for the Oudaen-Tower of the police of Antwerp. Their plans to make a reintegration center for ex-prisoners also got media attention from Radio 2 and Radio 1.
